So, when things seem too good to be true, it’s usually because it is. That’s pretty much been my story for the past few months!
Last week I talked about how awesome this family that had baptism dates. We had some a ton of changes in them and were excited to help them take the next step, baptism. No, the dates didn’t fall, they are still going to be baptized on the 28th of March… but. Monday night they told us that they had really exciting news. They excitedly told us they had finally found a nice, new house and were going to leave the next day and they wanted our help to help them move. Well, just by our luck, they now live just on the other side of the limits of our area and so, in short, we gave away 4 dates to another companionship in the zone. I cant tell you if I am being tested by the Lord, have incredibly bad luck, or am the best and most generous zone leader in the mission right now.
We’re going to be able to go to the temple 2 times in April so I am pretty pumped about that. One time will be a trip for investigators and the other trip will be to do a session, so I’m pretty pumped about that. It’ll be my last trip to the temple so I’ll be taking a lot of pictures and buying a lot of stuff.
Our zone shirts are being brought in in the morning and i couldn’t be more pumped! Haha it is going to be so sweet! I will be sure to get some pictures and get them out next week. one is the zone shirt and the other is the march madness shirt bought for a few select missionaries. I’m a great t shirt designer.
We still have a baptism set for this Saturday that i am in need of! It’ll be nice to finally baptize someone. He’s been listening to the missionaries for like 4 months but has had to wait for his wife to leave, so we are pleased to know she leaves this week. I even offered to help her back her bags. I’m all about looking for opportunities to serve others.
Well, the day has finally came. Today the immigration secretary is going to ask the missionaries in the group before mine which airport is closest to their house, and in 6 days they will know at what time they get home and everything and will have their airplane tickets. So in 7 weeks i will have that information myself! Pretty crazy, time is starting to fly. I turn 20 months in like 2 or 3 weeks.
Everything is going okay. There is always a lot of stress but it is good for me. I am loving all the things i am learning in the mission and can’t wait for the rain to start here soon! Haha, so kidding. Take your time, rain.
We worked really hard to find news this entire week, something that is not too easy here in my area it seems. Luckily we were able to find quite a few positive news and i think we may be able to get some baptism dates next week!
Love you all and hope you all enjoy the first week of the NCAA Tournament! Go Cougars, Beat Ole Miss!
